To enrich employees’ extracurricular cultural and sports activities, promote the company’s spirit of hard work and striving for excellence, enhance team cohesion and centripetal force among staff, strengthen communication and collaboration across departments, and foster a united, harmonious, and positive corporate atmosphere, the fourth “Juli Cup” Employee Basketball League of Baik Biotech was officially launched on August 8, 2023, with the support of the Baik Biotech Trade Union and the meticulous planning and organization by the Basketball Association.
This competition features a total of eight participating teams: the Vaccine Division 1 Team, the Vaccine Division 4 Team, the Fill-and-Finish Systems Team, the Equipment Systems Team, the Engineering Systems Team, the Pharmaceutical Research Systems Team, the Quality Systems Team, and the Functional Departments Team.
At the opening ceremony, Director Shi Liang, the union’s director of cultural and sports affairs, delivered the opening address.
Director Shi Liang highly commended the organization of this year’s tournament and expressed high expectations for all participating teams. He also emphasized that this corporate basketball league should further promote the spirit of “unity, hard work, and striving to excel,” transforming the competitive ethos of basketball into a powerful collective force for overcoming challenges and achieving breakthroughs, thereby making a solid contribution to the company’s continued growth and development.
Subsequently, the athletes’ representative took the oath, pledging that all competitors would strictly abide by the competition rules and accept the referees’ decisions; the referees’ representative then took the oath, vowing that all officials would rigorously uphold the principles of “fairness, impartiality, and transparency” and officiate in a courteous and professional manner.
The round-robin tournament unfolded in an orderly fashion throughout the fiery, vibrant month of August. On the court, players from all teams displayed remarkable vigor and skill, driving the action to thrilling climaxes with clever passes, graceful pivots, seamless teamwork, and spectacular shots—fully embodying the Baik people’s spirit of unity, tenacity, and relentless pursuit of excellence. The atmosphere at the venue was electric, with one exciting moment after another, earning thunderous applause from the spectators.

Over the course of one and a half months, eight teams competed in 28 intense matches, with Vaccine Unit 1, Vaccine Unit 4, the Functional Departments, and the Packaging Systems Team ultimately advancing to the semifinals.
Following the semifinal round, the Basketball Association specially invited three highly professional and experienced referees to officiate. Their impartial and expert decisions were unanimously praised by both the participating teams and the spectators.
In a fair and competitive atmosphere, all participants fought bravely and gave their best, fully showcasing their athletic prowess and delivering three thrilling, hard-fought matches for the audience. In the end, Vaccine Unit Four secured third place, while the Functional Departments and the Packaging System advanced together to the final.
On September 27, 2023, the highly anticipated championship final kicked off. The Basketball Association had specially invited a professional cheerleading squad to energize the game. To upbeat music, the cheerleaders showcased the vibrancy of youth with spinning pom-poms, radiant smiles, and fluid, graceful movements. The final began in an electrifying atmosphere, as players from both teams worked seamlessly together on the court, pouring out their sweat and fully savoring the joy of competition. Off the court, the cheering section was equally spirited, with waves of shouts and cheers rising and falling in unison.
During the halftime break, a shooting contest was held, with enthusiastic participation from the audience. The event brought joy to everyone and allowed them to experience the allure of basketball in a fun-filled atmosphere.
After a grueling 40-minute battle, the Functional Departments emerged victorious with a score of 80 to 67, securing second place in the Divisional Packaging System and claiming the championship for the Functional Departments!
At the closing ceremony, Director Shi Liang presented the “Model of Spiritual Civilization” award to the engineering systems team.
Director Zheng Xichao presented the third-place award to the Vaccine Room 4 team.
Director Wang Yajun presented the runner-up award to the packaging system team.
Zhu Changlin, Chairman of the Trade Union, presented the championship prize to the representative team from the functional departments.
