The tournament featured three categories—men’s singles, men’s doubles, and mixed doubles—and drew nearly 100 employee entries.
At the start of the tournament, Shi Liang, the union’s cultural and sports officer (and Quality Director), delivered the opening address on behalf of the Baik Biotech Union, followed by the referee’s reading of the competition rules, which clearly outlined the requirements for the event.
From the knockout rounds through the semifinals to the final, nearly a hundred matches were played in total. Throughout the competition, players braved the sweltering heat with unwavering enthusiasm, showcasing vibrant spirits and a true sporting ethos as they clashed in thrilling billiards matches.

They thought carefully, remained calm under pressure, and continuously adjusted their stance and club technique, precisely controlling the speed, force, and length of each swing while meticulously calculating the ball’s launch angle and trajectory. One thrilling battle of offense and defense after another unfolded, with players showcasing their unique style and exceptional skill. The atmosphere at the venue was vibrant and joyful, punctuated by waves of enthusiastic applause. After a fiercely competitive showdown, the first-, second-, and third-place winners were ultimately determined.
On September 18, the award ceremony for Biocare Biotechnology’s inaugural billiards tournament was held on the third floor of the office building. Mr. Zhu, Chairman of the Biocare Biotechnology Trade Union, and Mr. Shi Liang, Union Cultural and Sports Committee Member (and Quality Director), were invited to present awards to the winning players.
This tournament not only provided a platform for billiards enthusiasts to share experiences and hone their skills, but also ignited the passion of billiards fans, boosted their enthusiasm for physical exercise, and fostered a positive atmosphere conducive to sparking a nationwide fitness boom.
As Mr. Zhu, Chairman of the Baiker Bio Trade Union, said at the awards ceremony for this year’s Baiker Bio Billiards Championship to the winning players: “Billiards is a gentleman’s sport—always dare to take on challenges and dare to rise to them…” He also expressed the hope that, in both our work and our daily lives, we will all “dare to take on challenges and dare to rise to them!”
